Friars Mead has a fully trained and experienced Manager and Deputy Manager who report directly to an Executive Committee.
The Management ensure that all Staff receive appropriate training to recognised standards as recommended and regulated by The Commission for Social Care Inspection.
The staff recognise the need for good communication with both residents and families. Visitors are always welcome.
Karoline McCarthy, Manager
NVQ level 4, Manager's Award status
Karoline originally trained as a children's Nanny but in 1984 decided to change direction and commenced her career in the Care of the Elderly. She holds professional qualification in Home Management and Social Care and in addition to her NVQ Level 4 holds the Registered Manager's Award. Karoline held the appointment of Deputy Manager at Friars Mead from June 2000 and was appointed Manager in May 2008 following the retirement of our previous Manager.
In addition to an overall responsibility for the running of Friars Mead she has a direct responsibility for our 26 Residents and over 40 Staff.
